Third Bass plays with innuendo to humorously reveal its narrative. Through the implications of an object's function and the hints of setting, this piece shares an unfiltered story of sex and sexuality. Travise uses the malleability of clay and the strength of fired ceramics to capture a snapshot in time, the moment of discard where the strap-on is tossed away from the bed. To him, fish are representative of masculinity. He says, "Fish are beautiful, and they are stupid. Fish are what men can be without aggression".
